I know this question will come up and I think the answer will be obvious. I do not currently have the time or skills to hand make straitjackets by myself in the United States. To achieve an entry level product I knew that compromises would have to be made and one of them was finding a foreign manufacturing partner. This doesn’t mean I am thoughtlessly drop shipping random cheap Chinese goods.

On both of the entry level items I can assure you that you have seen something similar elsewhere. We started with a common wish type product and then put a lot of effort into upgrading various elements. For example adding additional straps, improved straps, and double reinforced panels. Sizing is one huge challenge that certainly isn’t solved, but certainly improved. If you order your T shirt size the straitjacket should fit, but with too many low cost products a Large might not fit a child. We shifted the size charts by 2 sometimes 3 places resulting in the need to create several new patterns.

Beyond Straitjackets I’ve also found a niche buying and selling restraint chairs, and some second owner Humane Restraints.
